We're Warmed Up.
It's Time to Push to the Finish
To everyone who knocked a door, addressed an envelope, delivered a letter, put up a yard sign, hosted a coffee, made a contribution, or encouraged me along the way:

We made it through the primary, and we couldn't have done it without you.
Because the Democratic primary was uncontested, September 9 wasn't about a competitive race. But it was an important milestone, and the work our volunteers put in to get us there was anything but routine.
Together, our volunteers have:
Hand-addressed thousands of letters of introduction to voters across District 17.
Knocked on more than 2,500 doors throughout the district.
Joined me for our poll-to-poll tour, where so many people shared words of support and encouragement as they drove by or walked into the polls.
Thank you. Your support has created a momentum that our District hasn't seen for some time!
A Letter. A Conversation. A Connection.
One of the most meaningful parts of this campaign has been hearing from people, especially after receiving my letter of introduction.
Sharing personal details about my life and the experiences that shaped me with thousands of people was an intentional choice. I believe authenticity and transparency matter.
The response has been incredibly touching.
People have reached out to share their own stories. At the doors, I've heard about families, work, healthcare, raising children, caring for loved ones, financial pressures, and hopes for the future.
Sometimes our experiences are very different, but again and again, we find something that connects us. These conversations give me the energy to keep showing up, remain curious, and keep learning about the people and communities I hope to represent.

Now We're Shifting Gears
This campaign is built by neighbors helping neighbors. And now we need your help.
Volunteer: Knock doors, make calls, deliver literature, help at events, or work with our yard-sign team. You don't need campaign experience, if you have an hour to give, there's a way to help.
Host: Bring your friends, neighbors, coworkers, or family together for a house party or small fundraising event and introduce them to Nelly and the campaign.

The path to the primary gave us a chance to get warmed up. Now we're shifting gears and preparing for the General Election on November 3. Early voting starts 20 days prior and you can learn more about how to vote here: https://vote.sos.ri.gov/
Our yard signs are going up all over the district, and our first campaign mailer has arrived in mailboxes across District 17. Our endorsements grow. But nothing replaces a conversation.
Over the coming weeks, we'll be focused on meeting voters throughout Lincoln, North Smithfield, and North Providence and making sure they have the opportunity to ask questions and hear what I stand for.

Come Find Us in the Community
September 19
One of the best parts of this campaign has been showing up in our communities and we're going to keep doing it.
We'll be at the North Smithfield Democrats booth, ready to answer questions about voting, elections, and local candidates and, of course, to talk with our neighbors.
This Is a Community Effort
When I decided to run for State Senate, I knew I couldn't do this alone. After thousands of doors and countless hours of volunteer work, I know that even more clearly.
The next several weeks will be some of the busiest of the campaign. If you've been thinking about getting involved, now is the time.
